Armagnac Ténarèze is situated in the middle of the Armagnac region of France and shares its boundaries with both Bas Armaganac and Haut Armagnac.
The soil found in this area is typically limestone and chalky clay, making it suitable for a range of grape types including Ugni-Blanc, which thrives here. Armagnac Ténarèze brandies are generally richer and more full-bodied in style than those made in Haut Armagnac and Bas Armagnac, and are suited to a longer ageing process.
