Three strong efforts from Latour include the 2007 Pauillac. A sleeper of the vintage, it is a delicious as well as fairly priced introduction to the brilliant winemaking at this noble estate. Its dense ruby/purple color is accompanied by notes of crushed rocks, red and black fruits, medium body, sweet tannin, and a long finish. It should continue to provide plenty of pleasure over the next 7-10 years.." WA 04/10
Advocate The 2007 Latour (the first wine made in the newly renovated cellars) exhibits a dense ruby/purple color as well as a sweet, expansive bouquet of black fruits and spring flowers interwoven with a striking minerality. The wine’s dense, medium to full-bodied flavors are surprisingly evolved, with soft tannins, an ample, generous mouthfeel, and an endearing texture. Undoubtedly one of the longest lived wines of the vintage, the 2007 Latour should last for two decades or more. Score: 92+. —Robert Parker, April 2008.
